I am blogging the mermaid cushion again..I have sold so many...I am glad you like them so much....Each one is hand painted so they all vary.
I have great fun making these dolls...they are all colour coordinated each one is totally different. I decided to put lavender into a few, this makes them a special gift for any one. The lavender is from my front garden..it keeps its smell for years...give it a squeeze now and then and the scent smells wonderful. The doll is stuffed with polyester and lavender is put in the middle of her tummy so she still feels soft and cuddly!
This cushion is done in the same way as the bag above....I am really pleased with how these came out.....I think they are fun , they would make a great present for any angel lover.
Sorry I forgot to crop this photo....at least my feet aren't in it this time!
It took me quite a while to paint this t-shirt...it is all done by hand..it is size 16....I did a few, I have a couple left.
A bit blurred! Not my day today...A close up of the above t-shirt....I put on little tendrils in gold, and high lighted the flowers...
If you click on any of my photos you can see a close up.....In some cases you can see the stitches!
This bag is lined with a zip..it is roomy and has an inner pocket. The strap is long and can be worn over the shoulder or across the body. It features a print taken from one of my paintings. I edged the print with the yarn I love most..it is fluffy intertwined with papery ribbon and an iridescent thread...really pretty, it sets the picture off.
This is the inside of the bag.The lining is perfect match...it has touches of gold that you cant see!
I put a large pocket inside..it has a zip...and I finished the top with the turquoise satin.
An angel doll which is suitable as a toy...but lovely as a decoration....she is made from cotton..stuffed with polyester...has a painted face and cotton yarn for hair.
I am not really sure quite what these are....Colin said they look like cats...hence cat doll.
I wanted to use some of my precious scraps of fabric...I have a chest of draws full of bits I love.
In these dolls I have used some very old scraps of Laura Ashley...they are just little bits left from other projects...all new...unused. Each of these dolls will be unique as the fabrics are no longer for sale.
They are very cute...and very fiddly to make!
This is the last one...Vintage Laura Ashley fabric...I threaded matching beads and tied a loop to hang.
I have the odd moments when I feel like creating a fiddly little things....really I like to decorate clothes and make one-off big items....
