Its hatting time again,by that I mean I have to sit and sew endless piles of hats. I do get fed up with it, but hats are my best seller! In fact I am often refered to as 'The hat lady'.

In fact I am often refered to as 'The hat lady'.It took me about a year of trial and error to perfect a pattern for a large and small brimmed hat that I could easily alter to fit all sizes of heads, which fitted well and kept its shape.
I usually use cotton curtain weight
fabric,which can be machine washed.
To alleviate the boredom sometimes I print my own fabric or decorate the hats with fabric flowers ,some of which I print or applique.
Most of my hats are 'one-offs', its nice to know you have something that is original rather than people knowing your hat came from retail chain shop and how much it cost.
I use remnants for most of the things I make, this allows me to keep my costs down.
